Born in Nice in 1975, Philippe Nigro studied Applied Arts and Product Design at La Martinière in Lyon and École Boulle in Paris. His early career was shaped by a significant collaboration with
Michele De Lucchi in Milan, where he participated in various projects encompassing product design, furniture design, lighting, and interior decor. Nigro's design approach is characterized by a blend of prospective research and pragmatic appreciation of the "savoir-faire" of manufacturers. He seamlessly moves between projects of varying scales, collaborating with both well-known brands and local artisans. This fusion of French and Italian cultures is evident in his work, which often explores modularity and multifunctionality.
