Biography & Design Philosophy

Born in 1979, Nicolas Le Moigne studied industrial design at ECAL in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he later became head of the Bachelor programme in Industrial Design. His academic background is grounded in material sensitivity and conceptual clarity, values that continue to inform his approach to design. Whether crafting lighting fixtures , furniture , or limited edition furnishing accessories , Le Moigne strives to reveal the soul of each material through rigorous simplicity. His work is often defined by a blend of traditional techniques and contemporary innovation. He draws inspiration from the natural world, artisanal methods, and the functional demands of modern living. The results are designs that embody restraint, elegance, and ingenuity.
