From 1962 to 1969, he collaborated with master glassmaker Max Ingrand, contributing to projects like the headquarters of EDF, Peugeot, the Lima airport, the Beirut Parliament, and the Geneva Museum. These experiences ignited his passion for industrial design, leading him to co-found the brand Point and later BonPoint, for which he designed the first stores in France and the United States.

In 1985, Swildens founded Ben Swildens Design Architecture, focusing on housing design. Over the past decade, he has shifted his focus towards sculpture, continuing to explore new creative avenues.
