Catellani & Smith, a 100% Made in Italy brand, is a company that has been dealing with lighting since 1989 at the behest of Enzo Catellani. Located in Italy, in the province of Bergamo, it stands out for the use of particularly precious materials (brass lamps, stainless steel lamps, crystal lamps, Medea stone) and for the use of timeless techniques, carried out by the skilled hands of capable craftsmen. Turciù was Catellani's first creation, and takes its name from the gesture of being able to twist and shape the flexible arms of this wall lamp at will, enhancing the interaction with the lamp object-subject. From here, all the projects followed a vision, always attentive to innovation. Fil de Fer, to name one, the famous spherical lamp made of aluminum wires intertwined with small light sources is a prime example. The works of the Luci d’oro and Stchu-Moon collection stand out for their elegance and refinement, where the use of silver or gold leaf creates captivating and sensual plays of light. On the other hand, the circular lights of the Sorry Giotto collection are different, made of blue hand-painted copper, essential but of great impact.
